If you ever find yourself somewhere between Middletown and Newport, Rhode Island I implore you to visit the Green Animals Topiary Garden.
The house and gardens are part of the Preservation Society of Newport County's illustrious Newport Mansions tour featuring the oppulent estates of Gilded Age industrialists.

Modest in comparison to the other properties, once I stepped into the gardens I was convinced for approximately 15 minutes that I was indeed deceased and had stumbled upon the gateway to Gaia 2. I was the only visitor at the estate, which mystified me.
I also visited the Vanderbilt's famed estate, The Breakers, which I highly recommend as a complement to the Green Animals Estate. The dichotomy between the two properties made for a fulfilling excursion.
Plus, it happened to be Anderson Cooper's 40th birthday on the day of my visit.
